Adding Products To Your Store

Signing up as a vendor on Epepea is absolutely Free with no hidden charges. Our rates are calculated at 5% of the item on sale. For example, an iron box which you are selling at 1500 our commission will be 5% which is Kshs 75, which will be deducted from the total sale. When you make a sale, you receive your kshs1425, which is less our 5% commission via M-pesa and Epepea will keep the 5%, (Which is kshs 75 in this case). Delivery fee is charged on the customer but handled by Epepea. Note, that we deliver within 3 hours for grocery items and 24 hours for other items, of the order being placed if it's within Nairobi and its environs. We do pick it up as per order so you need to have a convenient pick up point or shop. 

We previously explained how to Sign up as a vendor on Epepea. What next after signing up? To ensure you get the most out of your store online, you have to add products that customers can buy when they land on the website which ensures you have a higher sale turn-over. We created this simple and easy tutorial just for you, so that you can add your products easily and with no stress at all. Our joy is when both our vendors, partners and customers are satisfied. 

Below are the steps to take to add products successfuly to your store on Epepea 

   1. Log onto the website using the details you signed up with during the Signing Up Process previously at Epepea and you will be directed to our home page.

   2. On the menu bar, you will be able to view the SELL ONLINE tab. Click on the sell online which displays a vendor's account menu. Click on the Vendor's Account menu option.

     3. You will be re-directed to your online store as shown below.

Make sure to have checked your email previously after signing up to confirm you have created a new account. This will ensure you have access to your store.

    4. Click on the products option to have access to the products dashboard.

You will get a display as the one shown below. Click the addition sign to begin adding your products.

   5. The products addition page will be displayed as shown below.

6. Click on the upload sign icon to add your image. Ensure your images are clear and appealing for presentation. This increases your sales turn-over as customers are attracted by beautiful images. The image size should be 270px*270px. Insert the name of the product and click on the Yes option under the Published section.

        7. Once you have uploaded the image, add a description about your image. For example how many sets are they or item functionality or size of item etc. This ensures your customer has a better understanding of the product you are selling to minimize return of orders. Add the description in the description area as shown with the example above.

7. Scroll down the website and you will see an area to add other related products and keywords to use to make it easier for a customer to find your item. Add keywords relating to the product you are uploading. For example the keyword used for a product like a frying pan will be pan while the keyword used for water bottle will be a water bottle etc. 

Under the related product's option, you are required to add products within your store that are similar to the product added or that can be used together. However, this is optional but adding it increases your sales turn-over. For example if you are selling sufuria's you can add hot pot dishes as the related product as one is likely to buy a dish when they are buying sufuria's as they are both used within the kitchen. NB: Ensure the related product is already added as a product independently following similar steps as explained above while leaving the related product empty.

              8. Add the price the price of the product as shown above once you have added a related product.

               Once done, leave all the other places empty as they are set to default values within the website.

              9. Once all details pertaining the product is added click on apply to save the products to ensure in case of any sudden power failure  your products are saved and you will not have to begin the process from step 1-8 again.                        Click the Tick icon to apply the changes made to your product.

                                You will see message confirming you have successfully saved  the changes.

      10.  Save the product by clicking the folder icon.

      11. Your product will now be up on the store. Follow the same steps from step 1-10 to add all other products that you are selling to your store. Your store will be displayed as shown below with the current products uploaded. For demonstration purposes, we only added three products to the store.

The published images will be displayed with a green tick while unpublished images will be displayed with a red tick. Customer's will only be able to view the products with a green tick therefore the published products. 

      12. At times you would want to change details or description of a product, to do so, you will click on the image of the specific product you want to update. This will open the product description area and you will be able to update any section of the product. For example, If we want to edit the Fresha Long Life milk product, we will click on its image as shown by the yellow arrow below.

     13. To delete a product that you no longer sell, click on the cross mark represented in black beside each tick. This will display a pop-up asking you to confirm whether you would wish to delete the product. This ensures that you do not delete a product mistakenly. 

Deleting A Product

Once confirmed all your products are up on the store, you need to begin informing your customers that you are online and that they can easily find your products online without necessarily coming to your physical store. Epepea will pick the ordered products from your store and deliver it to the customer. 

All your orders will be displayed on your vendor section account and from there you will be able to track where your orders are coming from and analyze the progress of your sales.

Below are the steps to take when signing up as a vendor to sell online on Epepea

   1. Log onto the website at Epepea and you will be directed to our home page.

   2. On the menu bar, you will be able to view the SELL ONLINE tab. Click on the sell online which displays a vendor's account menu. Click on that to start your signing up process.

     3. You will be re-directed to create your own account if you never had one or login if you had initially created an account.

Make sure to check your email to confirm you have created a new account.

    4. Once you create an account and you login, you will be re-directed to the vendor registration form. Here, you are required to fill in a form with your personal details which include name and genuine and working email address for purposes for re-confirming your sign up and details about what you will sell on the description part. Once done, click register.

Kindly check you email for a confirmation email. This is to confirm you have setup your store successfully. Skipping this step will mean you will not be able to access your store online.

   5. Once confirmed, go back to the website and under the sell now tab it will display a vendor account menu, click on that and your vendor store will be displayed as follows.
